LEARN, LEAD, AND PREVENT: Anti-Harassment Training for Executives, Managers, and Supervisors (Santa Monica) 5/8/2018

Hirschfeld Kraemer LLP is pleased to offer our Learn, Lead, and Prevent: Anti-Harassment Training for Executives, Managers, and Supervisors seminar in Santa Monica on May 8, 2018. (Note this training is also offered in San Francisco on May 4 and Napa on May 3)

The headlines are impossible to ignore: while progress has been made in the prevention of sexual harassment, bullying, and workplace discrimination, we have a long way to go, and leaders must step up to identify and respond with knowledge and courage. At the same time, the June 2016 Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Task Force Report on Sexual Harassment Prevention Training suggested that the most common form of training – delivered online, with a focus on liability and risk management – does very little to prevent gender-based abusive conduct. The results of the task force validated what the lawyers at Hirschfeld Kraemer LLP have known and practiced for over 20 years: that true prevention training must be delivered live in a highly interactive format that meaningfully challenges “business as usual” workplace stereotypes of gender and power.

Our program complies with the requirements of California law AB 1825. Content for this program includes the new 2018 legal requirement to address discrimination based on gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientations. Combined with Hirschfeld Kraemer’s nationally recognized bullying prevention curriculum, this two-hour program offers powerful lessons in leadership and response to address gender discrimination, sexual harassment and abusive conduct. After completing this course, managers will understand exactly what their role is in creating a respectful and harassment-free workplace and what to do if they either suspect a problem, or an employee comes to complain to them.

Cost:  $195 per person. Includes certification, training materials, and continental breakfast. MCLE and HRCI credit available.
