Harassment and Abusive Conduct Prevention Training
May 3, 2017 @ 3:00 am - 5:00 am
The California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) was amended to require that AB1825 Mandatory Sexual Harassment Prevention Training include prevention of workplace bullying which that law refers to as “abusive conduct.” That conduct is defined as “[malicious] conduct of an employer or employee…that a reasonable person would find hostile, offensive, and unrelated to an employer’s legitimate business interests.” This may include “repeated infliction of verbal abuse, or verbal or physical conduct that a reasonable person would find threatening, intimidating or humiliating.”
All organizations with 50 or more employees (whether in or outside California) are required to provide their California-based managers and supervisors with two hours of practical and interactive harassment and abusive conduct prevention training, conducted by an expert. Further, newly hired or promoted supervisors or managers must be trained within six months of being hired or promoted, and all managers and supervisors must receive this training every two years.
This two-hour program will meet and exceed the law’s curriculum requirements, and will be characterized by HL’s highly entertaining, effective delivery methods. We will be providing certification materials for each attendee, and we will be happy to disseminate your organization’s policies to your specific personnel should you wish to provide them to us ahead of the program. We are limiting attendance to 25 attendees. Limiting the number of people who attend will give us the opportunity to spend more time with each attendee and to answer as many of your questions as possible.
The seminar fee will include the training materials and a continental breakfast.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be received in writing, either by fax or email, 7 days before the seminar in order to receive a refund. No refunds will be given after that time. Attendee substitutions may be made at any time.
