Since joining Hirschfeld Kraemer in 2011, Monte has represented employers in labor and employment matters across a wide range of industries. In addition, Monte has developed an expertise in representing institutions of higher education related to the entire spectrum of faculty discipline and promotion issues. As a litigator, Monte handles employment discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims, wage and hour class actions, and employment-related trade secret/intellectual property/non-competition claims. He also provides advice and counsel to employers on issues ranging from wage & hour compliance, record-keeping, and employee disability accommodation, as well as conducting neutral internal investigations. Monte also leads our Firm’s Spanish-language training practice, including harassment prevention training in compliance with state law mandates.
Monte earned his B.A. magna cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his J.D. cum laude from Loyola Law School. He is based in Hirschfeld Kraemer’s Santa Monica office.
