As an employment attorney, my first goal is to help clients minimize risk by ensuring compliance with federal and state employment and wage and hour laws. If a case proceeds to litigation, my focus shifts to vigorously pursuing strategies to achieve a swift, favorable resolution.

Alia Chaib is an associate in Hirschfeld Kraemer’s Los Angeles office. Her practice focuses on defending employers in a variety of employment litigation matters, including wrongful termination, retaliation, discrimination, harassment, failure to accommodate, failure to engage in the interactive process, and wage and hour issues.

Alia has represented clients from a wide variety of industries, including hospitality, healthcare, staffing, and real estate. She has a proven track record of successfully resolving cases short of trial, including through motions to dismiss, summary judgment, mediation, and informal settlement discussions, where she has secured several nuisance value settlements.

She previously worked as an associate at a large national defense litigation firm, and in-house for a major international restaurant chain, providing guidance on labor and employment issues in both a preventative and pre-litigation context.

Outside of work, Alia enjoys singing and performing in local groups, exploring L.A.’s restaurant and theater scenes, cooking, and traveling.
