Ferry Eden Lopez is a partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office. She represents employers in all areas of labor and employment law and advises clients in various aspects of human resources management, including pay equity, compliance, payment of wages, reasonable accommodations, exemptions, terminations, and workplace investigations. Ferry also conducts workplace investigations as a third-party neutral, and regularly provides training on harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.

Ferry’s practice focuses on employment litigation and trial, and includes the defense of single-plaintiff and multi-plaintiff actions arising out of alleged violations of federal and state anti-discrimination and harassment laws, as well as class, collective, and representative actions arising out of alleged violations of federal and state wage and hour laws. She also represents management in bargaining and labor arbitrations. Ferry has extensive experience representing employers before a variety of administrative and governmental agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, California Civil Rights Department, and California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement.

Ferry has a proven record of success in resolving cases short of trial, including through motions to dismiss, summary judgment, mediation and informal settlement discussions, in which she has secured a number of walk-away and nuisance value settlements.

Ferry represents clients from a wide variety of industries, including hospitality, healthcare, banking and finance, fashion and retail, information technology, and professional employer organizations and staffing.

Prior to joining Hirschfeld Kraemer, Ferry practiced management-side employment litigation at a major international firm. She also served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Christopher M. Klein, Chief Judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court in the Eastern District of California, and judicial extern to the Honorable Thomas C. Holman.

Ferry enjoys cycling (in studios and outdoors) and traveling.
